This match was played on the Claremont Show Grounds yesterday afternoon and only a handful of people witnessed the game. Both clubs were short of men, but they managed to fill the vacancies from among their supporters. In the third quarter it was found that the suburban team had taken on one man too many, and consequently they had to forego the two goals and eight behinds which they had scored up to that stage of the contest. The Subiaco team showed somewhat improved form occasionally, but they were no match for Perth, who won with a good deal to spare. In the first quarter Subiaco gained an advantage of two points by scoring one goal (kicked by Ward) and, one behind to five behinds. The city team livened up in the second quarter, throughout which Subiaco were found to almost continuously act on the defensive. Perth put on five goals and three behinds, and Subiaco nil. Two of the goals were kicked by Chamberlain, and one each by E. Thompson, Langridge, and Edmondson. Subiaco increased their score to 2 goals 8 behinds in the third quarter, the goal being kicked by Hannah, while Chamberlain scored a major for Perth. It was found at the close of the quarter that Subiaco were playing 19 men, and consequently they lost, by order of the umpire, the points they had scored though Perth offered to allow them to retain their score. Both teams played well in the last quarter. Chamberlain, Orr, and Shea each kicked a goal for Perth, and Hugo, Geise and Randell did likewise for Subiaco. Miller retired with an injured shoulder. The final scores were: Perth, 9 goals 9 behinds (63 points) - Subiaco, 3 goals 4 behinds (22)
